I can honestly say I’ve been so happy with my progression - I am stronger and fitter than I’ve ever been. Once I’d discovered I really enjoyed lifting, I wanted to push myself further and further. This year, I set myself the goal of comfortably lifting 100kg. I achieved that in May, and then went on to lift a further 15kg on top of this in July. The feeling was absolutely euphoric!
came across GL52 Fitness immediately loved the ethos and the idea of small class strength training. Although feeling quite nervous as the gym wasn’t my comfort zone, I needn’t have worried as Ed welcomed me in with a smile and ensured I felt right at home. The difference in my fitness levels and confidence over the past two and half years is incredible.
I decided to try running again and completed my first Parkrun back in October. Since then I have been consistently running alongside strength training and completed my first half marathon in February (signing up only 24 hours before!) I recently completed my second half marathon, taking 12 minutes off my time, and will shortly be completing my first triathlon. GL52 Fitness has supported me through all of my goals, and I truly feel that I am part of something!
You see, we’re a little bit different from a big corporate gym, a CrossFit box or Bootcamp. We DON’T cram as many people into sessions as possible. We only train people one-to-one, in small groups or group personal training.
This is uncommon in the fitness world in recent years but it works for our clients and for us, as they get better results and personal attention.
